Anne Carpenter – Secretary

Anne Carpenter earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art from the University of California, Riverside and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She worked in the computer field for 15 years. Upon moving to Astoria, Anne worked with her husband to manage their rental properties. She is now “mostly retired” and enjoys pursuing her creative interests.

Anne lost her father at a young age. Her mother went back to school to complete her teaching credential to support the family. From this experience, Anne became keenly aware of the importance of education and the ability support oneself as well as the importance of broadening one’s perspective of the world. Anne is passionate about scholarships and their ability to help others achieve their goals and dreams. She is honored to be an AHSSI Board member since 2017 and inspired by the students of AHS.
