How to Apply

It couldn’t be easier to apply for one of over eighty scholarships available through Astoria High School Scholarships, Inc. All Astoria High School seniors are encouraged to apply.

Applicants can choose to use either the online application or download the application to submit as a paper copy.  Either is acceptable.  If downloading the application, applicants must complete the application cover page by downloading the document and filling in the requested information. Required essays listed on the second page of the application need to be typed in a separate document and attached to the cover sheet.

ABATE Application

The North Coast Chapter A.B.A.T.E. of Oregon, a motorcycle organization that promotes motorcycle awareness, education, safety and liberty through community involvement and legislative action, is offering two $1,000.00 scholarships for graduating seniors.

Delta Kappa Gamma Application

This scholarship was established in 1992 by the Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an organization of women educators, to provide financial assistance to young women who wish to attend a two- or four-year accredited institution.

ILWU Application

This scholarship was established in the spring of 1991 to provide financial assistance to worthy high school graduates who wish to continue their formal education. The award is to provide recognition for excellence in scholarship and citizenship.

Declan Reed Benenati Application

This scholarship was established in in 2024 for students who have volunteer or service hours working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or plan on going into a field that provides services for these individuals. High school students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who wish to pursue college or trade schools are also eligible for this scholarship. Due April 21, 2024.

Holen Family Application

This scholarship was established in 2016 by Chris and Jennifer Holen for students wishing to pursue training in Culinary Arts or other Vocational Training.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get my money?
If you receive a scholarship, you will receive information on how to receive your award. You will need to send a class schedule and an enrollment verification.

How do I receive additional payments?
When you receive your first award, information will be shared in that letter. You must send in your grades from your previous term of school as well as a class schedule for the upcoming term.

How do I defer receiving my scholarship?
You can defer scholarships by advising AHSSI of your intention of doing this.  Please submit in writing.  Scholarships may be put on hold for up to two years.

Can I apply again when I’m in college?
Yes!  Please apply for our AHSSI Alumni Scholarship if you graduated in the years indicated on the webpage.
