Rett Christie

Aretta (Rett) Christie joined the Board of Astoria High School Scholarships, Inc. in 2009. She is a 1977 graduate of Astoria High School. She later graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Studio Art. She has been active in the Northwest arts community for 40 years.

Aretta believes education is key to the stability and well-being of the local community, the state and the country as a whole. Therefore, it is important to help Astoria students grow and learn to be ready to participate in today’s vibrant world. Astoria High School Scholarships, Inc., through financial assistance, helps students to grow and move forward, giving Aretta great satisfaction to be a member of this important organization, to be part of the educational process in a community that is so near and dear to her.
