Saara Matthews

Saara Matthews has been a Board Member of Astoria High School Scholarships, Inc. since 2010. She was a 1988 graduate of Astoria High School and went on to study at University of Tübingen (Germany) and University of Tampere (Finland) while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Germanic Languages and Literature and her Master’s Degree in Educational Policy and Management from the University of Oregon. Currently, she is the owner of Finn Ware, a small business located in Astoria.
Saara received a scholarship from AHSSI when she graduated from AHS. She feels fortunate to be a part of the Board and to continue the tradition of helping students with their education. She believes AHSSI is an extraordinary organization that truly wants to help students succeed.
